March ‘20.

Never knew that 18th of this month would be the last day of my offline university class before a long holiday of more than 10 months(and counting). This time taught me a lot and I think it would be wonderful to share it here.

Starting of the year, I was in a precarious situation, my sophomore year was about to come. A lot of tasks were to be undertaken, a mixed feeling of excitement and fear engulfed me. But a suddenly the news of a virus spreading in China started to come out, of it starting to spread all around the world. In the middle of March when a nation-wide lockdown was imposed, just a week before that our university issued holidays for the festive occasion of Holi and Dol Jatra.

I came back from college on that day thinking that finally I will have a week off and would continue with my pending works, projects, etc. But little did I know God had some other plans.

It has been nine months since then, attending some online lectures and bunking a whole lot of them, reduced physical activity, procrastination — could be the few of a large array of changes that inhibited the productivity of not just me but thousands of students.

No matter what the circumstances are, one thing that can be agreed on is that online classes can never be a substitute for physical classes, at institutions.
